Our counsel have had experience and participated in several landmark cases running through the Appeal Court and the Supreme Court. These include:
(i.) a challenge to the powers of a State Government to pass and enforce a law seeking to regulate telecommunication in the state; an action challenging the vires of a State Government to appoint private tax consultants to assess tax liability of tax payers; the vires of certain local governments to impose and collect various fees and levies which are not contained in the Constitution and the relevant Tax Laws.
(ii.) Our lawyers have also notably been involved in the defence of the sale of a multi –billion Naira prime property along Ajose Adeogun Street, Victoria Island, during the privatization exercise of the Federal Government in or about 2006 with judgment delivered in August 2010 upholding the sale.
